Indotechboy — Gokukoku no Brynhildr or also known as Brynhildr in The Darkness is a science fiction manga (Japanese comic) authored by Okamoto Lynn.
Gokukoku no Brynhildr story is full of blood and unsightly scenes. I don’t recommend you who under 18 to read this manga at all.
Murakami Ryouta is just a normal 2nd grade high schooler who loves to watch night sky for one purpose, it is to look for a proof if aliens are really exist. But Ryouta’s normal life suddenly shifted when a female transfer student who looks very similar with his dead childhood friend save him from the brink of death with her superpower and foresight ability.

Gokukoku no Brynhildr manga review
Gokukoku no Brynhildr manga describe itself as a “pure love with dark fantasy” story. The story does really fit with the description, full of dark-sad plots with romance accompanying it.
Although full of dark-sad plots, but I don’t really feel gloomy in every chapters of Gokukoku no Brynhildr because theare are other elements with sufficient amount besides the dark-sad side like romance, comedy and there are a little ecchi here and there. The harem hmmm… Of course it’s one heavy element here… Can’t the main character deserve his pays here for all of his hard work? 😂.
But still, don’t expect a happy ending in this manga. Gokukoku no Brynhildr is the very first manga that had succesfully teared my heart and soul apart with its sad development.
It’s about protecting others. But there are no such smooth development in Gokukoku no Brynhildr manga, protecting others means you have to sacrifice yourself.
And the love of the Main Character is really strong here. Burdened by his guilt in the past, the MC is willing to do everything to protect the person he trully love.
The story plot focus shifts on second half of the story
Generally, I could say Gokukoku no Brynhildr manga in big picture could be divided into two parts, the first a hundred chapters and the rest.
The first a hundred chapters is really intriguing, where the characters is keep on moving with the normal school life they have always dreamed, shadowed by the fact they have no longer days to live and there are “magicians” who ready to hunt them down anytime.
And the MC who is the only one know about the truth trying to give everything he got to come up with plans over plans, as he doesn’t want to lose his precious person, not for the second time. Fortunately he is a genius…
While the second half, rest of the story, I really feel the story focus shifted to more of the romance development. The MC’s heart is tested here, who is he loves the most of all?
While the dark sad and tragic plots is still there, but it is not as heavy as it was in the first a hundred chapters, because they eventually could solve it mentally by themself.
