Masamune-kun no Revenge anime review

So, from me who are come from the manga reader, I think the anime adaptation has done a good job overall bringing Masamune-kun no Revenge to an anime series.

Aki angry to Makabe

The story plot pace has is quite good, except for the last ~ 2 episodes. The last 2 or 3 episodes of Masamune’s Revenge for me is quite rushed.

The voice act is also great. What I like the most is Yoshino’s voice when she is being dragged around by Makabe, it’s so kawai-kawai 😁.

A little dissapointing for the ending if you are a fan of Masamune-kun no Revenge, because the ending does not resolve anything from the story premise, “Masamune’s Revenge”. The only thing you will get for the ending of the anime is: “You want to know what happens next? Read the manga!!!” 😁.

The opening and closing music soundtrack of Masamune-kun no Revenge is also nice. The soundtracks feels energic 😀.

By the way, if you only watched the anime and want to continue your ride with Masamune’s revenge plot 😁, I think it’s safe to continue reading the manga from manga from chapter 27, it’s from when Makabe come to the drama’s stage. Otherwise if you are looking exactly the new arc that was hinted on the anime last episode, you can start it from chapter 30.

Masamune-kun no Revenge OVA

So, the OVA is the last production of Masamune-kun no Revenge anime episode. The OVA is sold bundled with the 10th volume of the Manga. But if I remember it correctly reading from reddit forum, it is also included in the bluray release that just released this year.

Masamune-kun no Revenge OVA tells the after-story of Masamune’s Revenge series. Yes, it is the series epilogue, not the anime. So if you only watched the anime, you will get a huge gap between the last episode of the anime with this OVA. It’s very Recommended to watch the OVA after you have finished the manga.

For me, Masamune-kun no Revenge OVA is like an additional after-story to the series. In the “Masamune-kun no Revenge: After School” manga, we get the after-story of the 7 main casts.

And in this OVA, we also get the additional after-story starred with Makabe’s family (really fun, and ridiculous 😂), Aki’s secretary, and Yoshino’s sister.

But instead of the love interest, Makabe’s interest towards Aki is nothing but one: his revenge to her. So, will Makabe be able to made the revenge plan to Aki, his childhood friend who was been cruelly rejected him 8 years ago to success?
